Grid Erp Implementation Success Key Factor

In order to effectively support State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) with collective operation, intensive development, effective management and standard construction, to build the mordern corportation of "strong grids, excellent assets, excellent service and excellent performance" quickly, SGCC put forward the implementation of information technology "SG186" in 2006. To ensure the close integration of related businesses, to build information systems in the corporation, to promote the changes and optimization of managerial method and to upgrade the level of management and operational performance, in April,2007 SGCC decided to use the technical implementation of the ERP software in the related and coupled businessses of finance, material, projects, human resources as well as equipment and plan management which are all the one of "SG186" eight major businesses in the Party Group meeting. Further, they promoted the implementation of ERP software in the company headquarters and all the province's network.The power grid corporations implement the ERP system is at its beginning. What is more, the numbers of the corporations which have implemented the ERP systems successfully are very few. Therefore, to study key factors of ERP system implementation and to help the power grid corporations to implement the ERP system is an attentional topic.This article attempts to explore the ERP system implementation of the power grid corporations in China. By studying the ERP impelementation theory, and analyzing the ERP implementation in the power grid corporations, then I put forward key points of the successful ERP implementation. There are a successful case of the A Grid Corporation of China ERP implementation and an unsuccessful case of the B Electric Power Bureau to analyze the ERP implementation in the whole process and to sum up the key factors of the successful ERP implementation.
