Implementing case teaching in teaching management courses in military academies can facilitate cadets to digest theoretical knowledge of management and lay foundation of cultivating consciousness and competence for them to be reflective administrators in future. However, due to objective factors such as teaching resources, teaching plans, concept of education, the ability of teaching and learning, and subjective factors such as their understanding and attitudes toward case teaching, there exist many problems in case teaching, including imbalance of developing case teaching, a lag in case database construction, inferior control of such steps as releasing a case, analyzing it, discussing it and evaluating the teaching process, and so on.In order to improve the effectiveness of case teaching, some measures should be taken to solve the problems existing in teaching practice. First, importance of case teaching should be attached to at all levels in military academies. Second, cultivating instructors' ability of applying case teaching should be strengthened. Third, case database construction should be emphasized. Fourth, case teaching steps should be arranged properly. And finally, teaching assessment system should be improved.
