Design, Rfid-based Retail Warehouse Management Information System Applications

Great changes have taken place in world market which has evolved from stable market to variable market.After our country's entry into WTO, our retail industry faces even more chances and challenges. The application of technology of RFID has great significance for enhancement of competitiveness of retailing industry.RFID is an acronym for radio frequency identification, which is a wireless communication technology that is used to uniquely identify tagged objects or people. It has many applications. Information system based on RFID is a sophisticated and systematic project. Different industry involoved have different effects on information system, so this paper concentrates on retail enterprises.Firstly, this paper gives some introduce to physical principle, components, EPC network, technocal standards of RFID and comparative advantage over barcode system,and then analyze research status and applied instance at present.Secondly, this paper introduces current development status and problems of traditional warehouse magement system and put forward effective way to enhance management of warehouse, and that is RFID.Thirdly, this paper builds warehouse information management system frame based on RFID and makes study on demand analysis, objective analysis, work flow analysis, function analysis and technical analysis.Fourthly, this paper discusses detail work flow and function analysis of warehouse information system based on RFID and make analysis on main subsystems: receiving, putaway, inventory checking, picking and delivery.Fifthly, this paper discusses design and implementation of database system of warehouse information system based on RFID.At last, this paper discusses implementation strategy of warehouse information system based on RFID.
