The Automatic Storage/Retrieval System (AS/RS) is an important system in modern enterprise logistics, which integrates modern logistics technology, computer application technology and management technology. Although remarkable results have achieved on AS/RS research, warehouse entry/exit strategy was fell behind, especially on warehouse entry/exit procedure designing and shelves available assigning. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is known as a contact less automatic identification technique. It has many advantages like recognizing fast, no damage, no environment affection, long life-span etc.In this thesis, automatic identification at the warehouse exit based on RFID is adopted to improve the storage and ware location management. Computer technology improves the accuracy and real-time of the system. In order to improve the input-output efficiency,putting forward a shelves optimization method of shelves equivalent principle,and based on the method,coming up with spiral sequence principle.The main research work as follows: first, the characteristic, construction and advantage of automated stereo warehouse and RFID are recommended. Secondly, demand analysis, design practice analysis, system function analysis and work flow analysis are included in research work. The sub modules, including warehouse entry, warehouse exit, storage and shelves number, are designed based on the analysis result. Management information system is C/S mode, which means, stereo warehouse management system is divided into two subsystems: client and server.Then, shelves optimization method of shelves equivalent principle is put forward based on the relationship between shelves number and stacker crane efficiency, and based on the method,coming up with spiral sequence principle. Finally, data operation platform and the main interfaces are implemented by VB and SQL 2000. Through simulation, the method is testified to improve the input-output efficiency of stacker.
