Because of its unique non-contact and ability to identify multiple characteristics of the object, Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) technology is being increasingly used in supply chain, logistics, transportation, security and other fields. The management level of warehouse could be improved because of the introduction of RFID which can realize automatic data acquisition. Introduction of RFID is one of the development directions of modern warehouse management.This thesis takes the warehouse management of the third party logistics as research subject, describes and analyzes its problems, such as low efficiency of data acquisition, the low level of information technology.Then proposes the introduction of RFID and the warehouse management information system based on RFID is put forward. This thesis mainly does research about the pattern of RFID application in warehouse, the system framework and the information flow. On the base of this, it designs the information system and realizes its function module.Firstly, the thesis introduces the RFID technique and analyzes the basic process of warehouse management, and then it is proposed that the RFID technique is applicated in warehouse management in order to solve its problems and improve its management level. The thesis concludes three patterns of RFID application in supply chain and logistics according to the five integrations of WAL-MART's RFID application. On the base of this, the pattern of RFID application in warehouse has been discussed in this thesis, and then the process of warehouse management is optimized according to the RFID application pattern. Secondly, this thesis designed the framewok of warehouse management system based on RFID, and the mixing model of B/S and C/S and the integration strategy of RFID system and warehouse management system which are used in this system framework are analyzed, and then the logical model and information flow model has been proposed. Based on analysis of the system framework, the data information flow of RFID tag and warehousing information flow have been mainly discussed and analyzed in this thesis. Finally, this thesis designed and implemented the warehouse management information system based on RFID. Demand analysis, system function design, the process of system software, software architecture and database design are analyzed, especially the conceptual model and relation model of database and the design of database stored procedure and database trigger have been mainly discussed in this part of the thesis. And then Microsoft Visual Studio2008and SQL Sever2005are choosen to build this information system, and the software is developed by C#, and the development of the sub modules, including warehouse entry, warehouse exit, and storage are mainly described in this thesis.
