The development of international tourism in Wuxi has always been in the front rank among the tourism cities in China. But in experience economical time, traditional sightseeing tourism can't meet the demands of the present tourist segment market. Leisure tourism is becoming a tendency, which is loved by international tourists. In order to make the international tourism market develop healthily and continually, Wuxi must comply with the time request and develop leisure tourism.From discussing the concept of leisure tourism, basing on the research about leisure tourism resource in Wuxi and the demands of international tourism market, the paper studies product development of international leisure tourism in Wuxi, using correlation theories of leisure science, tourism science, culture science, marketing science and research methods of analysis, inspection, investigation.This paper is divided into seven parts: Part one: foreword. This part analyses research background and significance, explicits research methods and routes, proposes the existing innovations and difficulties.Part two summaries the present research on leisure tourism, tourism product development and leisure tourism product development, and also proposes the rationale of leisure tourism development.Part three proposes a unique classified standard, basing on the research about international leisure tourism resource in Wuxi. It also appraisals the quantity, distribution and quality of the resource, and analysis the feasibility of leisure tourism resource changing into products.Part four analyses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the development of international leisure tourism products, and proposes corresponding measures.Part five analyses the basic situation of international tourism market. By questionnaire survey, we grasp the traveling behavior characteristic and traveling hobby of international tourists, then judge the uniformity between the present tourism products in Wuxi and the products which international tourists demand.Part six: According to the different demands of international tourists, we divide the international tourism market into three main markets: Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe and America. Obeying to the principles of market-oriented, individuality, sustainable development and night tourism development, we develop and design leisure tourism products, including night tourism products.Part seven: conclusion. This part sums up a theoretical model of leisure tourism product development, and constructs a system of international leisure tourism products in Wuxi.
