As a result of the opening-up policy, Chinese state-owned hotel industry faces both unprecedented opportunities and rigorous challenges and competitions. As the only remained state-owned hotel, in face of such challenging competitions, managers of Jinjiang Hotel have to gain insight into the enormous changes in market competition, evaluate its competitive advantages, leverage opportunities, and define the strategies for enhancing management and strengthening future development, in order to keep the leading position of Jinjiang Hotel in the hotel industry of Sichuan province. Therefore the author focuses on the subjects of enhancing management and strengthening the future development of Jinjiang Hotel, and presents a research report on its management.According to the author's thinking, the report's logical structure goes as follows.At first, the report starts with the historical evolutions of Jinjiang Hotel, shows its developments and achievements during the last five decades. Secondly, SWOT analysis will be adopted to conduct systematic analysis of the strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats of Jinjiang Hotel. Then the third part will analysis the present operation status, operation structure, level of competitiveness of Jinjiang Hotel, understanding its advantages while realizing its disadvantage in comparison with competitors. The fourth part will specify the mission, vision, view of value, and strategic goal of development of Jinjiang Hotel. Lastly, the development plan will be developed according to strategic goal of development of Jinjiang Hotel, introducing the strategic developing method of improving existing businesses to the best extent and promoting added-value businesses as soon as possible. At last, for addressing those problems and crisis, it establishes strategies and priorities, develops a roadmap, and defines its strategic countermeasures as maintaining the existing business competency and amplifying the management scope as soon as possible.The main points of view in this report include:1.Chinese state-owned hotels with their unique features and characteristics are by no means inferior to foreign ones.2. The state-owned star hotels are facing both great opportunities and rigorous challenges.3. The future development of Jinjiang hotel will start with the reform of its enterprise system and then it will take a diversified investment policy. Since a single hotel could not win the competition with the chained groups, a chained hotel conglomerate will improve the competitiveness and anti-crisis ability. We should also be aware of the importance of human resources as the key driver of success and be more active in human resource exploitation.4. Nowadays the competition in hotel industry is the competition of the brands.5. We should maintain existing business competency and amplify the management scope as soon as possible.This report studies Jinjiang Hotel, a state-owned hotel with a history of nearly 50 years, in an all-round manner, compares it with others in both macroscopic and microscopic market and analyzes both its advantages and pain points. The author offers very clear evolution strategies, presents principles and measures on the subjects of how to enhance the management and strengthen the future development, which endues great importance to the refreshing of the state-owned star hotels with decades-old history, to their integration into the international market competition, and also to the build-up and promotion of Chinese national hotel brands. This report offers not only crucial guidance to the future reform and development of Jinjiang Hotel, but also significant reference to other state-owned hotels.
