This paper conducts research to the application of the Balanced Score Card in the performance management of Jinan Power Supply Company. The aim is that discuss the Balanced Score Card 's theories and methods to rebuild the management of Supply Company.Power Supply Company is the body of matches delivers link in the electric power market, has the natural monopoly status, which decides that its performance management must have the unique characteristic. First of all, this research summarizes and reviews the developing of the Performance management of Jinan Power Supply Company. From it we can find out that the ten years history of the performance management of Jinan Supply Company is the processes that adapt change of the electric system innovation and product new methods of performance management. And has particular analyzed the performance management of company existence questions. In chapter two, introduces the global development history of Performance management, especially in the western developed countries. It is emphases that have carried on the comparative analysis to the present popular performance management theories and methods. Although every tool has its special effect on the company's progress, it just made part betterment and not treated the problem in the strategic view. The strategic management idea of the Balanced Score Card is more suited to power supply company. This chapter introduces the theory particularly. Chapter three designs the actualization of the Balanced Score Card to Jinan Power Supply Company's performance management including the design of management schemes, actualization steps and Performance assessment. Chapter four discusses the actualization in Jinan Power Supply Company from ten aspects and the notice on applying the card in Power Supply Companies and gives some advices. Chapter three and four are the emphases in this paper which put weights on discussing how to relate the theory of the Balanced Score Card with the practice of Jinan Power Supply Company's performance management and put forward a idiographic, feasible, ratable and weighable operation scheme which can direct the practice effectively.
