Carburization process requires a high precision measurement and control system to control the carburizing quality of processed parts. The existing carbon potential control system of drip-type Pit Carburizing Furnace has the shortcomings of low precision carburizing and process instability, poor expansion. In this paper, we developed low-cost intelligent carburizing control system based on the AVR series microcontroller ATmega169 by the theoretical research combined with experimental research method to realize the control of the carburization process.This thesis include: Carburizing theoretical analysis, hardware design, software design and EMI design. In the carburizing theoretical analysis, mainly through the understanding of the basic carburizing principles and technics, the elements and method of measurement and control of the system and the carbon potential control system, we got the design train of thought of the hardware circuit of the control system. In the hardware design and software design of the system, we adopted modularization method. Hardware design consists of signal measurement channel design, the keyboard module design, display module design, output module design, and serial communication module. Software design comprises functional block diagram of the overall system software, incremental PID arithmetic, human-computer interface design, intelligent temperature sensor interface program design. EMI design consists of hardware EMI design and software EMI design. Single-bus digital temperature sensor DS18B20 on the thermocouple cold junction compensation, which can be directly output digital signal, simplifying the circuit design. In addition, the system designed the RS485/RS232 communication bus, to achieve data communications with the computer and can be composed of distributed control system through the network. In order to achieve the reliability of communications systems,we used high-speed optocoupler TLP521, MAX485 and the RS485/RS232 converter in the design. The carburizing process control system can achieve automatic control, to improve the quality of carburizing parts and the efficiency of production and decrease the pollution of the environment, reduce the enterprise's production costs.This thesis for the Carbon potential for intelligent control system, we designed experimental scheme and debugged off it, the results not only show that the system can be accurate and reliable circulation, but also the volume of the system is cabinet and compact circuit and can further expand its functionality, with promising market prospects and promotional value.
