Satellite Digital Set-top Box Design And Realization

Digital set-top box will be the first choice of analog TV to digital TV in our country. Due to more and more additional features and playing a larger part in daily life about the digital set-top box, it will no longer be a transitional product and will become a necessity. With successful launch of China-satellite 9th in 2008, substantial satellite digital set-top box start to enter the market and the manufacturers also start to research for ABS-S's set-top box production, so there is a practical significance about the research of satellite digital TV set-top box.In this paper, development and research of satellite digital set-top box based on GX6102 scheme is processed. The paper finished mainly following job:1. The configuration of development environment of satellite digital set-top box based on GX6102 scheme.2. The analysis of satellite digital set-top box hardware structure and a detailed function description of every part about this scheme.3. According to the need of satellite digital set-top box, eCos kernel is configured and kernel functions are packaged.4. Based on the GX6102 reference software, drivers are designed such as the FLASH, TUNER, and I2C and so on.5. The design of top application program about program database, OSD menu, program operation, font library and so on.6. Subtitle decoder design based on GX6102 is completed and DVB format subtitle display is realized by software.7. The debug of all programs is finished by JTAGThis design has realized TV watching for line-polar satellite programs of C-band and KU-band, had all functions for satellite set-top box, and now producted a few, be used in southeast countrys.
