Research And Implementation On The Related Technologies About Characteristic Digital Resource

With the development of information technology, the future of library information and resources construction will focus on the digital resources. The construction about all kinds of digital resources will be deployed in the library, and construction about characteristic resources which can satisfy the individual demand will become more and more prominent.Ocean University of China is a comprehensive university with its strength in oceanography and fisheries science. The Great development of marine science and education can not go on without the support of information resources. So the establishment of characteristic database about oceanography provides a powerful information platform for the development of marine science and education.This paper associated with the establishment of marine science and education, database, made a deep discussion on the related technologies, such as web database, TPI, the multi-topic database searching and characteristic database publishing.In this paper, the work mainly focuses on the following points:First, introduced the background and the significance of research-on this topic, as well as the current development of domestic and foreign. Second, made an introduction of the function of the digital library, described the technology of web database and TPI platform of Tsinghua Tongfang which the digital library relied on, especially introduced the related theory and technology about organization of the special subject information. Thirdly, analyzed the basic content and the architecture of the project. It then described the process of building the characteristic marine database including the introduction of publishing function and searching function.The research of this subject has guiding and promoting value to the construction of characteristic database in other areas. According to the establishment of characteristic database on marine science and education, it shows the application of characteristic database publication which presented by TPI platform. In a word, a referenced pattern could be provided to build any characteristic database in other areas.
