Digital processors such as DSP and FPGA become more and more popular in today social life. They have become the core component in many dominates and increased productivity, intelligence level, and information level. High voltage frequency conversion is an advanced technology in motor controlling. It has a lot of advantages such as low consumption, low electric network pollution, high intelligent level and high reliability. It has been used in many industries such as mining, metallurgy, transporting and manufacturing.The applications of digital processors as DSP and FPGA in high voltage frequency conversion are studied and researched in this paper. The DSP-TMS320F28335, FPGA and MCU are used in various units according to their functions. We have realized the design of 10KV high voltage frequency converter, and put it into application.The main contents are listed as follows:1. We have studied the theories of DSP, FPGA and MCU and studied the theory of high voltage frequency conversion. The study laid a theoretical foundation of designing work.2. The architecture of double-DSP + FPGA was studied and analyzed, and was applied in central control unit. It made the core system of high voltage frequency converter realized.3. The theory of PWM was studied and analyzed. We realized the generation of PWM by use of FPGA ,then we designed the direct controlling system.4. We studied the theory of HMI (human-machine-interface), and completed the design of HMI of high voltage frequency converter,therefore the intelligent level of high voltage frequency converter was increased.
