By analyzing the emergencies reported by"China News Weekly"in 2008 and combining with intervie known facts and forecar natural disasters, the Newstion of timeliews, the author summed up various coping strategies of News Weekly's emergencies report planning in timeliness and depth, and suggested that it establish the mechanisms for emergencies. Emergencies reports can be plotted. The planning focuses on reality, exploring thsting the future. Due to the limited cycle of the publication, News Weekly has a disadvantage in timeliness when reporting emergencies, but it can still meet the readers'deep-seated desire of understanding emergencies by planning depth investigative and explanatory reports. All kinds of unexpected events have some commonality and individuality. FoWeekly should be most concerned about the scope of disaster and disaster-affected people. For disasters, the cause of the accident and the subsequent accountability should be paid more attention to. For public health incidents, they should disclosure all the facts unlimitedly from the close connection to reduce people's panic. As for social security incidents, digging the deep-level causes should be focused on.In addition, News Weekly should have a mechanism for emergencies to ensure its combinaness and depth. In a word, for"China News Weekly", the mechanism of reporting emergencies is to divide the staff into two groups, who work in coordination and value teamwork. This guarantees that they can occupy the commanding heights of the site information and the relevant background information in the shortest time. If News Weekly only depends on timeliness to report emergencies , on the one hand, it's hard to surpass Daily Reports and networks; on the other hand, gradually it will lose the depth of its own characteristics.
