With the sustained economic development and urbanization progresses, high-rise buildings is increasing. This is made to the GSM network covers a new topic. Traditional GSM wireless network planning is based on the Hata and Cost-231 and other types of propagation model, the requirements of the mobile station does not exceed the height of 10m, while the new high-rise building with the height of 100m. Wireless environment is complex in high-rise buildings, there is not only frequency interference but also frequent change between indoor and outdoor cells, the situation may cause a decline of customer perception, While high-rise building is just the VIP customers concentrated area, the focus of market competition. So it is necessary to explore GSM network planning and optimization methods of high-rise buildings to solve the future problem of network coverage in major cities.At home and abroad for the GSM network planning and optimization of high-rise buildings put forward some new ideas and pilot progress in some cities,'but research is still at the initial stage, GSM network planning and optimization of high-rise buildings is lack of systems research and quantitative analysis. This topic comes from Tianjin Mobile Year 2010 Innovation project, the goal is through a combination of wireless communication theory and other cities experience high-rise buildings network optimization, select the typical high-level coverage of the scene to carry out verification experiment, which summed up a set for the promotion of Tianjin urban landscape. Meanwhile, with the test and data analysis of Tianjin Mobile GSM network coverage and call quality in high-rise buildings, summers a GSM network planning principles based on strength, frequency, neighbor. Finally, the quality control on the distribution system were analyzed quantitatively. From these above, the topic set a optimized system of GSM high-rise buildings coverage, while the district cell coverage of high-rise buildings, independent frequency selection and optimization of content distribution systems have some innovative value.
