Transmission network is the carrying foundation of the telecommunication applications, and it plays an important role in the whole communication network. In this paper, it researched and analyzed construction strategies and implementation plans of Liaocheng Unicom local transmission network. It analyzed local transmission network techniques in detail and presented future trends of local transmission network.Firstly, it analyses the major services features and the strategy of the local transmission network's carrying foundation. Secondly, based on the above, it put forwards the object network model and the construction strategy of the local transmission network. Especially it analyses the planning principles and construction ideas of 3G transmission network. On the basis of the above principles, combining the concrete conditions of Liaocheng Unicom, it makes specific implementation plans for the first phase of WCDMA's supporting construction engineering of Liaocheng Unicorn's the local transmission network. Finally, it compares WDM,OTN,ASON,MSTP,PTN and ect. It mainly indicates the related issues of the bandwidth configuration, VLAN dividing and services gather/convergence when the main technique MSTP carries 3G, and then it analyses the future trends of transmission network. The carrying technique of 3G maturity MSTP is limit, so PTN will become the main carrying technique for 3G services.
