| GSM is the most widely used 2G mobile communication system in the word. Now,3G era is coming, but GSM is also developing. Along with that the end-user is expanding continuously and traffic is increasing more and more, but the frequency resource is limited, the problem about GSM radio capacity is more serious.Firstly, this article introduce the structure of GSM network and key technologies of GSM, then based on GSM the theory calculation of GSM capacity, we find out the relation between radio network capacity and C/I. At the same time, the author analyze the GSM radio network KPI of exceed busy cell, radio resource usage rate, BSC capacity and etc, and point out the existing problem for the capacity of Xinxiang MCC radio network.Then, this article discusses that how to solve the capacity of radio network step by step from two aspects which are balance of capacity and improvement of capacity. For balance of capacity, the author studies antenna retune, parameter retune, carrier pool and other means for traffic balance. At the same time, the author confirms the final performance about these means listed above through Xinxiang MCC network.The improvement of capacity is emphases of this article. This part mainly discusses the means of improvement of capacity from the aspects about frequency reuse, half rate, dual band, indoor distributing system and etc. And the author analyzes the final performance for these means listed before from two aspects which are theory calculation and living traffic statistic.Data service grows very quickly during recent years. On the basis of GPRS network,EGPRS is introduced and used widely in all nation. This article discusses the effect that the introduced and used of EGPRS to GSM.At last, the author expounds some of new technologies of GSM radio network capacity and summaries the capacity improvement of Xinxiang MCC radio network and puts forward the suggestion to the development of capacity for Xinxiang mobile GSM radio network in the future. |
