CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) is a mobile digital communication system capable of providing such service systems as mobile call, sms,Short Message Service and data communications. Its MAP(Mobile Application Part), which this paper elucidates, is defined in IS-41E Standard (CDMA MAP's Standard protocol) and constructs the most significant of proprietary signal protocol on the network interface of CDMA. Viewed from the angle of CDMA MAP network interface, the paper elaborates on CDMA MAP protocol for such functions as mobile call, supplement service, sms, authenticate, handover, etc, which enables the MAP protocol to realize the functions of mobile call, supplement service. Therefore, the realization of MAP protocol function and ensuring its proper operation, reliability and internetwork constitutes one of the key factors to CDMA softswitch's success in commercial applications. This paper expounds the CDMA softswitch developed in a certain communications company. The author of the paper designed mobile call and supplement service all of the MAP protocol, and put into effect the function of the said product.Proceeding from the full end to end process in developing software, this paper can be regarded chiefly as an introduction to the author's analyzing, designing and realizing of the functions of mobile call and supplement service as described in IS41-E MAP protocol, providing an all-round account of MAP feature, a minor item in the RTOS, including demand analysis, High Level Design, Low Level design of software, as well as realization of coding. In addition, full process of making public the coordinating data and software version is provided.
