Research And Implementaton Of Distributed Workflow Management System Based On .net Platform

Workflow refers to the automation or semi-automated implementation of the business course under part or overall environment in the computer application. However, with the network technology development, application system has become more complex and changeable in business logic, application data also tend to be distributed and heterogeneous, therefore, there were some shortcomings such as poor integration capabilities, lower flexibility and bad scalability in the traditional centralized workflow system, so distributed workflow research has become extremely important.Based on the above issues, this paper used finite state machine theory, designed and implemented the Distributed Workflow Management System, which was based on Dot Net platform. The system can be divided into three main modules, can be defined as the visualization tools, task management and workflow engine. Visualization tools can be used to implement the automation and visualization of the workflow process definition, task manager is responsible for the flexible distribution and dynamic allocation of the work. It achieves the workflow scheduling and operation distributed in different nodes machine, which is based on the principle of workflow engine. It completes the interoperability between the workflow-engine through a long-distance communication.This distributed workflow management system has already be applied in the business systems complaints handling module of a mobile company call center, verify the easy interoperability, reliability and flexibility in this distributed workflow management system.
