Police Geographic Information System can be effective with the combination of these data, we can achieve the business information is based on visual analysis of geographic information and remote network a lications.This paper introduces the domestic and foreign police geographic information system development and WebGIS technology, analysis of the Yan'an City Public Security Bureau of the Police Geographic Information System requirements. software requirements analysis. based on the design of the system function structure, the system into operation maintenance management. basic map operations. information search. police surveillance and video surveillance of five modules, the overall design of the system architecture and database management module implements the operation and maintenance. basic map operating modes. through functional testing and performance testing of the system was verification, the indicators are to achieve the desired purpose. Finally, the paper proposes areas for improvement and future conditions of the project were discussed.This created a WebGIS-based police information system, that is, the database as a su ort to the network as a bridge, the establishment of B/S mode network spatial information service system to achieve the desired purpose, and information systems for the police to provide a future space development of a direction.
