Research And Application Of Wireless Sensor Networks Routing Protocol In Tinyos

As a new type of intelligent embedded equipment of information access and data processing, wireless sensor network(WSN) is being more widely used in environment and building monitoring, home intelligence, military affairs reconnaissance, medical nursing, earth exploring and big industrial safety-detection. More attention has been paid to WSN and the research on each aspect of it is also an active field in current academe. Routing protocol is a key issue on network layer in WSN.Based on in-depth research of the concept, structure, character and the application of wireless sensor networks, WSN routing is introduced and several existing classical routing protocols are discussed on their advantages and disadvantages. After an analysis and suggest improvement of a standard TinyOS multihop routing protocol——Link Estimate and Parent Selection(LEPS),the character of TinyOS is analyzed on light-weight thread technology, component-based and event driven programming and active message communication. At the same time, the whole framework and interface design of Improved LEPS (ILEPS), programmed by nesC, is presented for three aspects of routing updating, routing selection and data forwarding. Then, in accordance to hardware character of the miners location system, software of WSN sensor nodes was designed, including BS node, firm nodes and mobile nodes. When applied to the system, ILEPS and LEPS are analyzed by comparison on their performance. It indicates that ILEPS is overperformed for a decrease of data loss by 33.86%, without enhancing time delay. Finally, the existing problems of ILEPS are summarized and listed with some possible settlement and main research on the system.
