The Theory Of File Three-stage Movement

File Movement Theory, the academic study of archival hot in recent years, is a part of Basic Theory of archives, the international archival community and the important research areas of common concern, as well. The theory of File three-stage Movement is not only to follow the changes in file-value- based to reveal the movement rule of documents, but also inventive in file (archives) formation activities and production activities as the starting point to explore the Law of File Movement. The theory of File three-stage Movement is recording to document life-cycle theory as the guiding ideology ,the phenomenon of file motion as study object, the whole movement process from the production and formation to the final destruction or permanent preservation of archives as records for the study area. This paper is divided into four parts: First, the basis of three phases of file movement, including conceptual foundations, ideological and practical foundation, which is a prerequisite condition to study. Second, the theoretical framework of file movement on three-stage, in this section, file is classified three phase as pre-movement stage of the current document, the current document phase and not current documents phase. It in-depth analyses the characteristics and the change discipline of various stages of document movement, and elaborates the important ideas embodied by the mean of dividing and the movement forms of various documents. Third, the study of application of file movement phase, which is different from the application of the theory applied research that not directly on the real archives, but a rational understanding of the phenomenon and interpretation on the real existence of the archives; mainly including the knowledge and interpretation on the relationship between file management (motion) and file movement, the concept of archives, the relationship between archive and its predecessor - the existing and pre-existing files and so on. The forth part is about the thought which is triggered by The theory of File three-stage Movement. It further definitudes that the essential attribute of the file - the original records of file movement will be presented with the dynamic changes on the process of the movement of file ,and gives a new interpretation on the original records of archives. And it appears a different view on oral archives which is a controversial concept in the field of archives, and finally makes a distinction on the value of archives of traditional knowledge which can be divided into the value of archives and the value of archival object.
