So it becomes necessary and important for modern enterprisesto set up archives administration auto systems so as to combine the archivesadministration with other administration and improve the archives administration. Thearchive administration of Tianjin Soda Plant is manual operation all along. In order toavoid the trivial gathering and improve the low utilization, a new archivesadministration system will be developed.In this thesis, the design and implementation of the archive administration systemof Tianjin Soda Plant are presented. Six aspects of qualification application systemare discussed, which are the requirement analysis, the overall design, the detaileddesign, the development techniques, the deployment and implementation,the systemmanagement. A sample system is analyzed, designed and implemented using thedesign methods of Software Engineering.After precise analysis, taking Visual Basic as develop tool and SQL Server7.0asdatabase, We developed and completed the archives administration for Tianjin SodaPlant on the basis of the existing administration network and server, which includescategory set-up, archives edit, file edit, archives gathering, file gathering, filegathering, archives borrow, archives return, archives destroy, archives court and so on.That means to administrate archives by computer, to refer data by convenientgathering and reference so as to improve the utilization of archives.This system passes through less than one year time running, as well as to give risetwo times to the problem on daily, and according to the user operation custom. Nowthey already moved stably, and received the high praise from users.
