Credit risk is the main risk for modern commercial banks and one of the most common causes which lead to bankruptcy. Credit information construction of our country's commercial banks is lagging behind, and credit information remains asymmetry, which all lead to high risk and high cost in the actual operation. The grid computing shows a new approach and solution to solve this problem. Grid computing is a technology of Green IT for achieving "collaborative computing and resource sharing". By combining the grid technology and the Web services standard OGSA, it can provide the underlying infrastructure for the establishment of credit information system associated with banks.Based on the research of grid computing, Open Grid Services Architecture, grid portal and the related technologies and tools, combined with bank credit system itself, this paper proposes a framework of bank grid credit based on OGSA. Based on two levels of the domain management strategies this paper proposed an adaptive bank credit system solution for the infrastructure construction. The design thoughts about the portal and the security model were described in detail. Security, scalability and usability of the system are discussed thoroughly. These theoretical studies establish the basis for deploying services by role, programming and deploying portlet and finally implementing of a bank of credit system. The system can fully share various resources of existing banking system and enable users to access to services provided by the resources. Through the consistent access interface with QoS guarantee, people can query the credit information in a convenient, safe, cheap way, this is the rest technology difficult to implement. The feasibility of the system model based on OGSA is proven in practice by a prototype bank grid credit system. Finally the limitations of the prototype bank grid credit system were analyzed, and the concept of the semantic grid portal was introduced by the development of a simple semantic grid portal framework named PortalOne.
