| Teaching materials provide the basic clues for students study activities, its goal is to implement the curriculum and supply an important resource for mathematics teaching. I have been an mathematics teacher in Jiangsu Province for many years and I will get the methematics Educational master in Fujian Normal University, but the teaching materials used in Jiangsu and Fujian Provinces are different because the former are provided by Jiangsu Science and Technology Press and the later are from People's Education Press. In recent years I have been teaching mathematics and got some experience. With the help of my experience I have found the following features about the two versions on the basis of others research results and according to the theories and demands from the "Mathematics curriculum standards" after my careful comparative study of teaching materials selected from Grade Seven. They are the points:1, the both versions show their own characteristics such as the thought of designing the concept, structure, pictures and contexts, the difficulty for exercises, etc.2,In accordance with the "Mathematics curriculum standards" my study inlclude the following four specific areas, they are numbers and algebra, Space and Shape, Statistics and Probability, Practice and comprehensive application.3, A Comparative Study of the difficulty of exercises in accordance with "the difficulty of the mathematical model of the integrated curriculum" (Bao,2002a; 2002b),4,Have an experiment.First let the students from the parallel classes study the same contents chosed from the both versions.Second have a comparative study with the help of the students grades,teachers reflection, activities of the students in class, the tests and questionnaire surveys.5,1 have my own voice in the two different verions.6,This paper has some shortcomings because I have chosen the certain contents from the two different versions and the students come only from my two parallel classes. |
