In the late 20th century, all developed countries started the foundational education reform of Mathematics successively, and the historical experience indicated its core matter lying in textbook reform. This article, based on the author's personal teaching practice of several years and taking advantage of others'research results, carries out a comparative study on the geometry introduction in the two editions of experimental Mathematics textbooks from East China Normal University Press (ECNUP) and Phoenix Science Press (PSP), as regards the following aspects:1.Research on the impact on junior students'study of cognitive scienceThe Implications of Vygotsky's "Zone of Proximal Development" Theory for explanation of the impact on junior students'study of psychology.2.Comparative study on the contents introduced in geometry between the two editions of experimental textbooks(1) surface comparison: textbook column, chapters, arrangement difference.(2) deep comparison: concept, question raising method, appendix materials.3. Case comparisonThrough the analysis of the teaching resources in the two editions of textbook, it further suggests to use the textbook creatively during the teaching practice.4. Several suggestions for two editions of textbook and proposals for future textbook reformIt strives to clarify what kind of textbook is more suitable for the concept of curriculum reform, for the sustainable development of junior students, and how the textbook shall be reformed in future.
