A Comparative Analysis Of High School Mathematics Teaching Materials A Version And IBDP Version

At present,a new round of curriculum reform is in full swing,and a new edition of senior high school mathematics curriculum standards has been issued in 2017,while the mathematics textbooks under the guidance of the new curriculum standards have not yet been put into use Functional content runs through senior high school curriculum,This study compares the A edition of People's Education Press and IBDP edition of the textbooks,chooses the chapter of function,compares the similarities and differences of the function parts of the two sets of textbooks,and seeks for the compilation and teaching inspiration of our function part of the textbooksThe content structure and arrangement form of the two versions of textbooks are analyzed by comparative study and content analysis.It is found that:(1)In terms of content selection,the contents of the two versions of textbooks are different and the order of the same contents is different;(2)IBDP textbook divides the teaching content into very detailed parts,while the PEP textbook divides the teaching content into more hierarchical partsComparing the breadth,depth,difficulty of exercises and difficulty of textbooks in the chapter of function with abstraction analysis method and difficulty model of mathematics textbooks,the following main conclusions are drawn:(1)The breadth of the PEP textbook is G1=31,and that of IBDP textbook is G2=28.The breadth of the PEP textbook is higher than that of IBDP textbook(2)The depth of the PEP textbook is S1=2.839,and that in IBDP textbook is S2=1.821.The depth of the PEP textbook is 1.018 points higher than that in IBDP textbook.(3)The comprehensive difficulty of examples and exercises in the PEP textbook is higher than that in IBDP textbook.The difficulty of the nature,background and knowledge content of examples is higher than that in IBDP textbook,but the knowledge content of exercises is lower than that in IBDP textbook.In the compilation of exercises,both textbooks tend to be low and medium difficult(4)According to the difficulty model of mathematics textbook I,it is calculated that the difficulty of textbooks in the PEP textbook is N1=13.647,and that of textbooks in IBDP is N2=12.112 The comprehensive difficulty of the textbook of the PEP textbook is higher than that of the textbook of IBDP.Using the difficulty model of mathematics textbook II,the calculated difficulty of the textbook PEP is N1=1.400,the difficulty of the textbook IBDP is N2=1.730,and the comprehensive difficulty of the textbook PEP is lower than that of the textbook IBDPBased on the above analysis,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for the compilation of the function chapter of the PEP textbook:(1)Increase the content of the application of information technology,adjust the position of the application of information technology in textbooks,and add portable drawing tools/software.(2)To deepen the understanding of the concept of function,it is suggested to add auxiliary discrimination methods in textbooks to help students understand the concept of function.(3)Increase the number of exercises,improve the quality of exercises,and increase the "broad but shallow" and "narrow but deep" medium-difficulty exercises.The following suggestions are put forward for the compilation of IBDP textbook in the chapter of function:(1)Increase the setting of scenarios to connect students' life with the practical application of mathematics.(2)Increase the difficulty of exercises,attach importance to the transfer and application of knowledge,the application of mathematics in life and the connection with other disciplines.
