Under the background of the new curriculum reform,how to make history textbooks better serve the country,teachers and students is the subject of constant exploration.In the trend of textbook revision and adaptation,the editors pay more attention to the revision of text content,ignoring the revision and updating of text auxiliary system.The 7th grade history textbook of Darlington edition in Australia takes "living history" as its compiling idea and text-assisted system as its assistant to show more vivid history and improve the effect of history education.In this paper,the textbook assistant system is taken as the object of discussion,whose similarities and differences of two versions of textbooks at home and abroad are studied by comparing the seventh grade history textbook of Darlington(1),Australia and the seventh grade history textbook edited by the Ministry of China.This paper compares the textbook supplementary system of the seventh grade history textbook of Darlington edition in Australia with that of the seventh grade history textbook edited by the Ministry of China.On the basis of these to textbooks,this paper makes a brief comparison between Australian junior high school system and Chinese junior high school system,and takes the English version of Australian seventh grade history curriculum standard as the blueprint,choosing the part of ancient Chinese history for general translation and discussion.From the macro point of view,this paper summarizes the overall structure of textbooks and textbook assistant system of two editions,and chooses textbook assistant system of one lesson from each to summarize and collate them,and forms tables of a rough comparative outline.From the microcosmic point of view,this paper analyses the subsystems of the textbook auxiliary system of two versions of history textbooks,that is,chapters and pre-class introduction,annotations,historical materials,illustrations and problem settings,and summarizes,reflects and enlightens the characteristics of the two versions of history textbooks so as to draw on their strengths and weaknesses.With the development of economic globalization,countries around the world pay more attention to history education,Australia and China are no exception.As a concrete manifestation of the content of history education,the excellent compilation of history textbooks is closely related to the development of national history education.By comparing the history textbooks of two countries and two versions,it is beneficial for China to improve the history textbooks and develop the history education further.
