Teaching material is the important resource of realizing course goal and practicing teaching. All the math course reforms both at home and abroad give priority to teaching material reform. Teaching material should be propitious to stimulate the teachers'enthusiasm and help the teachers teach in a creative way; it should be propitious to improve the students'learning methods and promote the students to learn and develop actively. Along with the issuing and implementation of Math Curriculum Standard of Senior High School, there are five versions of math teaching material in China and they are experimented in ten provinces and districts and Shandong Province is among the first batch of experimental area.The thesis takes two versions of math teaching material which are published by People's Education Press as studying objects and chooses the part of"Calculus"of"Optional 1-1"and"Optional 2-2"in the two versions to study by applying the methods of document analysis, statistic analysis, investigation research and case analysis. The aspects of studying are as follows:Firstly, The thesis analyzes the degree of carrying out of the Curriculum Standard and whether the teaching material fit the teaching of the two versions mentioned above through comparing their writing philosophy, structure, content, examples and exercises and concludes their common ground and differences.Secondly, The thesis analyzes the systematicness, wholeness and development which are kept in the content of"Calculus"of math teaching material of senior high school by comparing the teaching material of senior high school and advanced mathematics. The thesis also refers the processing mode of"Calculus"in the math teaching material of senior high school in China's Taiwan and Japan.Thirdly, The author consults 160 teachers and 600 students in teaching material experimental area and takes advice on if limit of sequence and functional limit should be introduced in senior high school, the students'learning circumstance and the degree of satisfaction to the teaching material and analyzes statistically the research result.Finally, the thesis assesses the present math teaching material of senior high school comprehensively on the basis of text comparison and research, proposes some suggestions on revision of math teaching material of senior high school and suggests to provide limit of sequence and functional limit in optional course or after-school reading to the students who have the energy to learn more.
