The number of dogs and cats as companion animals increases rapidly, and Dermatogic disease is the most common disease can be found in these pets, This study made a statistics for the pathogenic type of dog skin disease in Beijing region and their onset characteristics according to cases treated in clinics of China Agricultural University. Methods include, separation, cultivation and identification of fungal. The aim of this study is to provide scientific basis for treating dermatiogic disease of dogs and improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment result.The study includes basic information of infected dogs, such as breed, gender, age, time,etc. Emphatically we noted down the clinical conditions of these dogs and selected typical cases to take photmic, roscopic observation and microbe cultivation. We conducted statistical analysis for obtained data and drew charts.Clinical cases investigation shows that during the whole investigation period, among the total 915 cases, original high incidence is in the period from April to June (336/915)While most cases were mainly in July, August and September. There exists a great difference between male and female as for incidence, the ratio of male to female is 1.49 : 1. Different breeds have different susceptibility for disease. The incidence for chow-chow (8.8%) is the highest and followed by Pekingese and Golden Dog. Most infected dogs are under five years old (84.92%), and infected sites mainly focused in back, ears and limbs. Diseases mainly caused by fungus and bacterial infection. Totally there are 526 cases of fungus and bacterial mixed infection, 200 cases of bacterial infection and 189 cases of acaridan infection.In the 189 acaridan infection cases, 122 cases are demodicidosis(64.55%), 64 cases are sarcoptidosis(33.86%). Both have high incidence in April and most infected dogs are under one year of age. Sex ratio for these two diseases are 1.28:1 and 1.56:1(male:female). For demodicidosis, Tibetan Mastiff has the highest susceptibility and followed by chow-chow and Chihuahua Dog. For sarcoptidosis, Poodle has the highest susceptibility and followed by Golden Retriever and Husky Dog. For demodicidosis, infected sites mainly focused on eyes, chaws and back, and for sarcoptidosis, ears and elbow. 186 cases of the use of ivermectin for treatment suffering from mites severest test, a cure of 106 cases, accounting for 56.9%; 50 cases of secondary healing, accounting for 26.9%; three and four were cured 18 cases of and 12 cases, respectively, accounting for 9.7% and 6.5% respectively.After inspection, infected dogs with fungus have been sampled and cultivated. Among these cases, 64 cases are positive and the positive rate is 28.75%. Isolated fungus include malassezia(15 cases), microsporum canis(10 cases),trichophyton mentagrophytes(2 cases), microsporon gypseum(1 case), etc. respectively, 21.74%, 14.50%, 2.90%, 1.45%, 1.45%.Malassezia is mainly malassezia pachydermatis.
