High-density Development In The Transformation Of The Old City Decay Area, Historic Preservation And Continuation

in recent years, modernity, urbanization and industry transformation make a lot of historic cities to face the situation of large scale renewal, and to meet the needs of economic development and living condition improvement, large area of traditional community had been knocked down, and densely residential district filled in, these simply, rudely practice leaded to many problems on social equity, commercial efficiency and so on. In 90s last century, organic renewal theory provided a guideline to regeneration of the history-conservation area delimited by government, but few study focus on the declining traditional blocks which not included in the conservation area (in fact, there are too many blocks like this),especially to meet the high density and high capability demand of the real estate development. So this study is trying to find the proper solution to history conservation in large scale urban renewal .
