Research On Preservation And Renewal Of The Historic Districts Based On The Process Features

Historic districts preservation and renewal is a long and tortuous process, but also a timeless topic. Correct understanding of this historic neighborhood to achieve "real" continuation and development.The article has summarized the historic districts in theoretical and practical experience of preservation and renewal. The article takes process features of historic districts as a starting point from the formation of historic districts.Then it discusses the process characteristics from three aspects of the process and update process of the historic districts .Then the article discusses the process of contemporary urban design characteristics. Actively seeking methods of urban design and historic districts of the characteristics of the process fit way. Secondly, the article studies from the concept, technical approach, management and coordination and the self-updating features to adapt to the protection of historic districts process and update methods. Meanwhile, the article conducts an empirical study in Rongxiang Historic District.
