City Office Motor Vehicle Parking Facilities Built With The Study

With the rapid development of economy, urban traffic increases sharply. There have generally showed a difficult parking condition in most big cities. The parking supply by construction is up to about 50% of the total parking spaces in cities. Office buildings normally are in the centre area of city and are main area of vehicle parking demand. So the parking facility of office building is one of crucial issue to resolve parking problem at core area of city. And the study that how to analyse the parking space number of office building becomes more necessary and urgent.This paper includes the following contents: Firstly analyses the characteristics of vehicle parking of office building. Basing on the analysis and comparison the parking demand forecast model currently, recommend the parking generation rate model and discuss the modeling modifiability through the parameters of the peak-hour flow rate and vehicle growth rate.This paper present the significance of the principle of Parking Demand Manage and introduce the theory of transport regional character, furthermore discuss the adjusting of the parking demand model under the several factors, such as population density, road capacity and the balance of demand and supply.Finally, this paper provides an example of using the parking generation rate model to measure the appropriate parking space number of a office building in the centre area of Kunming.
