Study On The Parking Demand Forecast And Parking Facility Planning & Management In The Big City Center

With the development of the city and the consistently rapid increase of people's living standard, the private car become the first choice of people's trip, which result in the sharp increase of the car amount because of the poor transportation facility, especially the parking facility, get behind of the development of the car. The parking supply conflict with the parking demands inside the city, in particular the city center. It influences the dynamic traffic and the people's everyday living.To solve the static traffic problem no time to delay. Parking demand forecast is the base of parking facility planning and the parking facility planning is an important part of city planning. Parking demand is the effect of many factors, which involving the development of the city, the land exploiting, the economic level, number of vehicles, the condition of road net, the traffic condition, the denizen's trip mode and parking management policy and so on.Location theory is introduced into the parking demand forecast in this paper. The concept of location predominance degree is defined. A simple and feasible calculative model of the location predominance degree is built, then, amending the generation rate model under considering the region location, the increasing of car amount, the parking berth velocity and parking berth use rate. Extending the parking generation rate model's forecast space and time, and enhancing its forecast precision. Applying the modified model to make actually and perspective parking demand forecast of Hexi district based parking facilities investigation in Hexi district. This thesis works out short and long public parking planning programs combining with the city development stratagem of Hexi district based on the forecast of parking demand, and the analysis of Hexi district layout. Besides, the paper make an analysis of curb parking facilities planning and guide line for appertaining parking lots.The fruits have a good help and some real meanings for the Tianjin and other city's planning, forecast, management branches in this paper.
