The High Power Microwave(HPM) measurements technology is a conjunct science of HPM technology and Microwave measurements.Because of continuing demands of higher power, higher energy and higher frequency microwave sources in military and scientific research,the HPM technology has developed rapidly. Baseing the situation, the Microwave measurements for HPM has been required more convenient and more precise.The HPM measurements has developed rapidly in the recently twenty years for the HPM technology developing fast.The Small Aperture Coupling has been researched for many years as a important part of microwave theory.Bethe published his theory of Diffraction by Small Holes at 1944. Later,Collin proved Bethe's theory also can used in waveguide system.Because The Small Aperture Coupling is a very complex boundary problem,it is very difficult to be strict soloved by math method. So it is often be solved by approximate method in the engineer works.The detail study on the the Small Aperture Coupling according to HPM measurements system of our lab,supported by the important items.The main works of this dissertation are listed as following:1 .The study on the normal HPM measurements system,Have discussed and anylsed our lab HPM measurements2. Have done the research on the Small Aperture Coupling ,discussed the two normal way in the projects and calculated the S parameters in the two normal coupling ways.3. The numberical calculations and electro-magnetic simulations were made on the Small Aperture Coupling which the frequency were in the range of 30GHz-40GHz.The numerical calculation take the thickness of Small Aperture Coupling account which will affect the coupled apparatus.4. Based on the 3-D electro-magnetic simulaion code,the validations on the numerical result of Small Aperture Coupling coupling degree were made.
