Since the reform was developed, so extensive construction in our country has been carried on, that China has been the largest market of building in the world. Under the environment of market economy, the discussion on the rationality, scientificness, logicality and systematicness of the architectural design has been put forward for a long time, architectural programming begins to be paid attention to in our country. Meanwhile, dwelling construction amount increases rapidly and the real estate develops at full speed. With the market becoming more complete and every norm, regulation being sound, the market of real estate is ripe gradually, real estate competition of trade is more and more fierce, real estate plan gets more attention and faster development. The residential district is built to present the rapid change, living quality is improved progressively too.In recent years, with the fast urbanization and extensive urban construction of our country, launch in the city suburb continuously in the extensive residential district, is promoting the sprawl of the residential district in the city progressively. With the arrival of the postindustrial city and the development of information network technique, we can predict, in the 21st century, the residential district in the suburb would become the main form of residential district construction of the city, there is a very broad development prospect of the residential district in the suburb.In order to comply with this trend, based on the relevant theories and methods of architectural programming, combining the practical experience of residential district construction and theoretical research of the residential district, planning the research results in the residential district drawn lessons from among the development of real estate, the thesis proposes carrying on the architectural programming research to the suburb residential district in the city, according to the characteristic of the residential district in the suburb. The author hopes to offer suitable design guidance and reference basis of the decision for the construction of the residential district in the suburb, also to enrich and the theory content of the residential district.
