The construction of Roller Compacted Concrete Dam (RCCD) is a complicated systems engineering problem, which not only has gigantic engineering quantity, long work time, a large number of working faces, numerous construction machines and types, complicated structures of dam, difficult construction and high work intensity, but also influenced by many factors, such as terrain and geology, climate condition, methods of leading current, parting of dam, start concreting time of Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC), construction measures and so on. These factors are very complicated, affiliating and restricting each other, which makes the engineering design and construction organization design of the RCCD become a heavy and flexible job. The workload to arrange the construction order of dam working faces and construction schedule is great heavy for man-made, and it is difficult to consider comprehensive various factors which are influence the engineering construction schedule, and more difficult to make a timely and effective decision for multi-schemes of dam construction and machine combination. In order to assure the construction schedule of dam, improving design quality and construction organization management level, alleviating designers' work intensity, shortening design period, improving integrative efficiency of construction process, computerized system simulation technology was adopted to simulate the construction process and research existed problems of RCCD in this paper, and all-sided data and information are provided, which was used as a scientific decision-making gist for confirming the construction scheme of RCCD, so that improving construction organization design, and improving the depth and precision of construction management work.The main research contents and achievements in this paper are summarized as follows:(1)Fully analysis the construction system of RCCD, including the construction characteristics, influence factors during construction and all kinds of restriction conditions, and study the theories and methods of the construction process.(2)Establish the simulation model which can reflect the construction characteristics of RCCD. The real circulate process of construction process is very different for diverse transport manners, and some main transport manners are considered in this paper, which circulate mechanisms are analyzed seriously.(3) Fully analyze the influence factors about the partition of dam working faces area, and introduce the idea and methods for the partition of dam, and achieve to calculate the volume of dam, the whole engineering quantity and the construction period.(4)Achieve to automatic choose the dam working faces from one to another by computer. According to the restriction conditions of concrete construction, computer automatically chooses the working faces, and calculates their start and . finish time.(5)Simulation application is accomplished. Delphi is used as the exploitation language for the simulation system, the application is compiled by structured design idea, which can be operated easily, the simulate results are intuitionistic and rapid expressed.
