This paper introduces the RD status of electromagnetic compatibility both in China and abroad, the international organizations for electromagnetic compatibility and the relevant standards and the basic principles for such as electromagnetic interference source, propagation ways, coupling modes, interference control measures, etc. Combined with the antitank missile practical matters, the paper has proposed some methods and measures concerning how to apply the knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility theory into the design of antitank missiles. The paper takes missile as an example to analyze the electromagnetic environment and the frequency spectrum for missile. According to the technical requirements for this missile, electromagnetic compatibility tests have been made and the problem during tests have been analyzed and measures are taken to solve the problem and validation and verification are made and at last these enables the missile meet the GJB specifications required for electromagnetic compatibility and this has laid a good foundation for the design of formal prototype of the missile. At the end of this paper, the further development trend is given with the current research status of electromagnetic compatibility for antitank missiles fully taken into account.
