The Research Of Preservation And Planning In Cangxia Historic District,Fuzhou

Fuzhou is a historical and cultural city of over 2000 years,as one of the treaty ports open to the world firstly in China,it recorded the cultures blended of Chinese and Western.Cangxia historic district is located by the Minjiang River,Fuzhou.It used to be an important trade port that brought together custom and culture from all sides,and it has a good location with beautiful environment.With the rapid development of the city,the ancient architecture and diverse architectural style are facing the severe test brought by the transformation of urban change.Protection and restoration of historic district,restoration of urban vitality,and continuity of historic context,have become an important issue on Urban Renewal.Basing on the previous analysis and evaluation of historical and cultural street blocks,this thesis analyzes the practical examples about Cangxia historic district and summarize the reconstructing experience,which can provide support to protection and restoration of historical street blocks as well as continuation of urban culture.The thesis main includes the following parts:The first part(Chapters 1-2)-theory research,this part systematically discusses the issue of protection and restoration about historic district all over the world and representatives of the protection planning on relevant historic district.The second part(Chapter 3-4)-current situation research,this part analyzes the history,current situation and related issues of Cangxia district,on the basis of the study and the previous analysis and evaluation of historical and cultural street blocks,the writer use the methods of data access,field research,modern software analysis and other means in order to analyze the current situation of Cangxia district,in addition,the author still try to find out the specific content and methods of protection.The third part(Chapter 5-6)-empirical study,this part mainly combines with the practical research on preservation and planning of Cangxia historic district which the author take part in,On this basis,the author try to summarize the valuable experiences in protection and reconstruction of Cangxia District in order to provide a reference for similar protection of related historic district.
