Although the steel bridge deck asphalt mixture of research has been spend a lot of money, manpower and material resources, but because of the special pavement system, the damage of steel bridge deck pavement is very serious.In the present thesis, the literature about the damage phenomenon of pavement on the steel box girder, the steel bridge deck pavement material performance requirements, the steel bridge deck pavement materials, the pavement structures, and the numerical and analytical analysis of the pavement systems was referenced.The steel bridge deck pavement project of a three-span suspension bridge steel bridge parallel double cable planes was studied in the present thesis. The details of research works are as following,1) The working conditions of the pavement for the current bridge are analyzed,2) The finite element analysis was carried out to study the steel deck based on epoxy asphalt surfacing system. The effects of loading position and loading mode on the stess distribution of pavement were studied in the numerical simulation. The effect of temperature on the stress level of pavement were concluded for different loading cases.3) The local design of the stell bridge deck was optimized to reduce the stress level of the pavement.4) Relying on the bridge under the circumstances, the process of pavement construction procedures, all aspects of the construction process to be followed technical regulations; quality assurance / quality control system, the paving operation, material sampling and testing of process specifications were proposed.
