| Since the reform and opening up,transport in China has been rapidly developed. Bridges of various structural types have been constructed in our rivers,lakes and sea,which also contribute to the progress of the bridge technology. Nowadays long span steel box girder bridge in China has been more and more popular,but the paving of this bridge requires the materials with higher strength and better flexibility. The pavement quality directly affect the safety and comfort of driving,and also have an influence on durability of the bridge and the benefits of investment. So the issue of paving in the long span steel box girder bridge has always been a problem in front of project workers and researchers. Our country had firstly introduced and used the epoxy asphalt in the long span steel box girder paving project of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. Epoxy Asphalt is a kind of new and improved asphalt mixing with bitumen,epoxy resins,curing agents and other additives. The thermosetting of epoxy asphalt gives it a good physical and mechanical properties. Thus the epoxy asphalt has been widely used in long span steel box girder pavement engineering.Based on the investigation of the paving project in domestic long span steel box girder bridge which have been built,such as the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge,Guangzhou Huangpu Bridge and Wuhan Baishazhou Bridge,this paper has studied the material properties of epoxy asphalt,the pavement performance of epoxy asphalt concrete pavement Layer,the construction technology of epoxy asphalt concrete pavement and so on.This paper specially selects the U.S.epoxy asphalt consisting of component A (epoxy resin) and component B (the homogeneous composition consisting of Petroleum asphalt and Curing agent),uses basalt and limestone as aggregate and carried out the design of target mix through the Marshall design method. Finally this paper gets some parameters which technology requires,such as the gradation aggregate scope of mineral,the optimum asphalt proportion of mixture and the mixing time. And through a series of tests such as the Marshall test,split test,trabecula bending test,track test,low temperature bending test,the Marshall immersion test and fatigue test,and the research of Fracture Criterion,this paper learns some technical performance and characteristics of epoxy asphalt,masters the application technology of epoxy asphalt as pavement materials in steel bridge paving,and draws up the construction process and quality control requirements. Overall this paper provides a reference for the implement- ation and promotion of domestic epoxy asphalt concrete in the future. |
