Of Webgis In The Digital City Management System

Nowadays, most of cities are starting to construct digital city management system, and the GIS technology is widely used for this system. First of all, this paper analyzes the architecture of digital city management system based on the framework of digital city management system, and the implementation of the digital city management system of Wen Jiang Zone, Chengdu. And then introduces the position and functionality of GIS platform within digital city management system, and architecture of GIS platform in this system, and divides the detailed functionality of whole GIS platform.This paper analyzes the process of the generation of the data of GIS platform, explains how to utilize ArcSDE space data management engine to organize, manage and run the space data of this system. The space data is abstracted as city data, network grid data and geography encoding data during the design of GIS database. This is also the current status of GIS data which most cities need to be facing on the digital city management system construction. And designs the encoding process of the database, the division and encoding process of the network grid data, and the encoding process of basic geography data. And analyzes the requirement of GIS space data during the design of database, defines the form of space data and none space data of this database, let us have directly awareness of GIS space data database, provide the foundation of the next step of implementing GIS platform.And then, this paper discusses of utilizing the popular WebGIS technology to design GIS platform of the digital city management system. This GIS platform is implemented based on ArIMS technology. This part abstracts each GIS functional modules which WebGIS engine need to implement, including zoom in and zoom out of the map , control of map layer, measurement of distance and acreage, query of geography information and so on. And designs the details of the implementation of these modules. And explains the integration of the GIS platform and other business subsystem from the viewpoint of the whole digital city management system.
