Einstein's Science Education And Research

As a great physicist and educationist, based on his own scientific exploration and education, Einstein pointed out the importance of science education, discussed the foundation of scientific research, the method of science education and his educational moral principles, which provided practical and distinct experience and methods for the later generations to carry out scientific research and education. This paper studies Einstein' s science education thought specially, discusses its essence and basic concept and analyzes its directive significance to the science education in China. The following three parts are the main contents of this paper.The foundational theories of science education: the essence of science, which is composed of scientific attitude, the process and the method of scientific exploration and achievement of scientific research, the science education historical inspection and the science education goal are the scientific literacy, but scientific inquiry is the center of science education.Einstein' s science education is the training of quality and ability of human. In Einstein' s scientific inquiry, "the feeling of space", thoughts of science belief education becomes the foundation and power of his scientific exploration. In addition, the science beauty education thought, the deductive education thought, simplified education thought and uniform education thought are important parts in Einstein' s science education thought. Emphasizing on the importance of interest, hobby, discussion, imagination, independent thinking, practical action and so on in the scientific research and the education importance becomes the important method in Einstein' s science education. Einstein' s science education also contains certain ethics thought: science moral should be set up, the ultimate goal of life is servicing the society and the goal of science education is the training of harmonious man and strengthening scientific social value consciousness education and so on.Einstein's ideas of science education have great realistic significance and directive function in promoting scientific education in our country, especially in popularizing and improving scientific education.
