Teaching Reform Of Vocational And Technical College Calculus

Calculous is one of the required courses for non-arts students in vocational and technical institutes. Many students have difficulties in learning Calculous because of the characteristic of the course and basic knowledge level of students, so that the situation of teaching Calculous is not optimistical in vocational and technical institutes. Hence, it is necessary to properly reform the teaching of Calculous in those institutes.The teaching of Calculous in vocational and technical institutes includes the reformations of teaching materials, means and techniques. As for the reformation of teaching materials, the paper, based on the practice of teaching, advances such schemes as properly reducing the theoretical requirements, optimizing the structure and system, emphasizing the mathematical minds and enhancing the practical applications. As for the reformation of teaching means, the paper also suggests attempting to classify the teaching, namely, the mechanisms of target classification, content classification, means and examination classification, so that each student is in his proper place and the confidence of them could be intensified. As for the reformation of teaching techniques, the multi-media equipments can be introduced into the class to make the course more visually and vividly. In addition, teachers are supposed to increase the interest of students and assist students to master the basic knowledge of Calculous in order to improve their quality of mathematics. The research has acquired some effects. According to the present situation of classing teaching of Caculous, the author brings forword several introspections and suggestions for further consummations.The ultimate intention of this researching task is to improve the effect and quality of teaching Calculous in vocational and technical institutes.
