Curriculum is the soul of school education, what curriculums are offered and how to open it decide the knowledge structure and capacity development of the students. The problems of the curriculum in higher normal university work against the growth of undergraduates and the development of Chinese secondary education. So when the curriculum of primary education is reforming, the higher normal university should actively reform the curriculum to provide security for cultivating high-quality, high-capability teachers.The study is on basic education curriculum reform of education and related theory of knowledge, primarily through the study of documents, comparative study, theory study to master the curriculum of the major of physics in higher normal university under the background of the new curriculum's reform.This study was conducted of the following areas:The first part presents the significance, the status quo, the frame and methods of this research. The second part firstly systematically researches teachers' quality theoretically. Secondly the study analyzes features of the new curriculum and teachers'quality that the new curriculum demands. The third part analyzes normal curriculum's evolution and its status quo, and emphatically researches the curriculum of the major of physics in the higher normal university, summarizes its problems. The fourth part based on the problems provided in the third chapter and education theoretical knowledge, points out reform strategies about curriculum of the major of physics in higher normal university under the background of new curriculum.Through this study, The normal university curriculum for the physics should make the following reforms:In the curriculum concept, foster a people-centered thinking. In the curriculum goal, constructs three-aspect multiplication curriculum goal including knowledge, ability and emotion. In the curriculum structure, aggravates the humanities class curriculum and the education class curriculum proportion, realizes the curriculum integration diligently. In the curriculum implement, increases the teaching flexibility to transfer the teacher and student's enthusiasm and initiative, thus raise the classroom study efficiency. In the course evaluation, constructs multiplex appraisal system including the curriculum result, the curriculum process and the curriculum main body. The five aspects' reforms aren't carried on independently, but mutually promotes as an organic whole. The higher normal colleges should embark from the overall situation, unceasingly revise and consummate the reform plan, in order to guarantee that the curriculum is reasonable.The paper researches the curriculum of the major of physics in higher normal university under the background of the new curriculum's reform. It indicates the direction for the normal curriculum's reform and makes the normal education advance with the time and train qualified graduates of the new curriculum's requirement. So, the paper has a learning significance for the development of Chinese Education.
