When human enters into the 21st century, science and technology progresses change with each day, the competition between countries becomes more and more intensively. The competition between countries reduces to the competition between the intelligent person with ability, and the competition between national innovation. Education is the base for cultivating intelligent persons with ability and enhancing national innovation ability. Advanced physics education, as one of the important part of advanced education in our country, should keep innovating without ceasing.Postmodernism is a trend of social culture thought, emerged in western developed countries in the sixties of the twentieth century or so, which have had deeply impact on lots of ideology fields. The field of education is not an exceptional field. In essence, education is a kind of activity to pursue and realize values. It doesn' t exist this kind of education activity without the guidance of some kind of value thought, whether people realize it or not. Any educator should clear and correct their philosophy of education, should strive to turn to become an educator with coherence of thought and activity. Postmodernism philosophy is the theory base and the thought core of the trend of postmodernism thought. After absorbing the core of postmodernism philosophy thought, postmodernism curriculum theory gradually develops into a new genre of curriculum theory. Just as postmodernism philosophytheory, postmodernism curriculum theory is numerous and complicated and the opinions on postmodernism curriculum theory vary, but postmodernism curriculum theory contains and embodies many elements which is positive and constructive for us. Nowadays postmodernism curriculum theory keeps on developing, which is still a hot field being researched by many educators.At present, there exists below facts in our country: physics education theory lays particular stress on experience and description, which can' t give satisfied guidance for the physics instruction practice; systematic physics curriculum which can give guidance for practice has not formatted. Although advanced education reform involves many fields, the reform centers on the curriculum and instruction reform. Human is the most active factor in all activities, to some extent, the result of advanced physics curriculum and instruction reform lies on the level of competence of physics teachers, which means that we should explore an approach to develop physics teachers who develop by themselves suiting with the curriculum and instruction reform. Postmodernism curriculum theory has many theory innovations in many aspects. So it is essential for us to disinter the positive and constructive elements from postmodernism curriculum theory, and make them serve for advanced physics education reform and provide beneficial inspiration for us.After analyzing, collating and inducing postmodernism philosophy ideology, postmodernism curriculum theories and postmodernisminstruction attitudes, the paper absorbed the positive and constructive elements from them, then pointed out which beneficial inspiration they could provide for advanced physics curriculum and instruction reform practicing in our country recent years. The paper was divided into four parts: the first part combed the postmodernism philosophy ideology; the second part expounded and analyzed the postmodernism curriculum and instruction theories; the third part pointed out which beneficial inspiration they could provide for us after combining these theories with the practice of physics curriculum and instruction reform implementing in our country.After combing and discussing the postmodernism curriculum theori es, this paper, to some extent, can make physics subject educators know the current development concerning curriculum theory, and expand the horizon of our physics subject educators.
