With the vigorous development of China's tourism industry,tourism science education has also gone from small to large process.At present,most colleges and universities have set up tourism professionals,but also in the scale of development,structure,school quality,and regional classification have appeared in a virtuous circle,quality of teaching and school conditions are improving.Overall,tourism higher education has shown a good momentum of development.But in recent years,there appears doubtful voice from the academic system to the industry to the existing curriculum in tourism management.On the one hand,students reflect that the subjects are too complicated,it is difficult to truly create a clear framework of systems expertise,and professional knowledge is not profound;on the other hand,the industry think the current curriculums are unrealistic,it's difficult to adapt industry needs,and there appears the current dislocation of the tourism industry supply and demand phenomenon.In the process of development in higher tourism education,the first question should be solved is to establish a science instructional system,It has great theoretical and practical significance for tourism development and tourism management discipline construction.This study drawn on the related theory and practice about tourism education,and based on the content design of tourism management curriculum system, this paper selected six representative universities in Guangdong Province, China, and makes comparative research for tourism higher education curriculum design.First of all, on the basis of the general curriculum design theory, this study determined the factors influencing tourism management curriculum content design, which including curriculum design objectives, course content and structure, and teaching evaluation process.At while, the curriculum system objectives design and course content and structure of the foundation of the discipline system design. Secondly, this paper makes the comparative analysis for course system design of six universities,such as the curriculum training goals,professional orientation and other factors,and presents that many universities use personnel training target instead of curriculum system design, and in the course design does not accurately reflect the relationship between tourism phenomenon, knowledge systems and curriculum design, this is the key problems in higher education curriculum tourism.Therefore, this study suggests that China tourism management curriculum system design existing several issue s to be solved, for instance, the tourism management undergraduate training objective is too broad, and the objective positioning is not clear.In the course content design,it should focus on the characteristics of discipline,grasps the basis for curriculum structure, and pay attention to the training of student ability.At while,it should also concerned about the students themselves and the needs of social enterprises,and proposed several reform measures.Finally, this study suggests that higher education curriculum design in the future not only to strengthen the education system, content design, it should also pay attention to learners as the center of the teaching system process design, this is the future research direction for further efforts.
