Along with the development of market economy in China, the connotation of human recourse has changed a lot compared with the traditional one. It has risen from the traditional control instrument to an important management method. Motivation mechanism has been an effective way in human resource management and being attached importance to by private enterprises day by day. Thus, various problems caused by low-level motivation have been the bottleneck of restraining corporate development. How to raise employee motivation, stabilize talent troop, enhance enterprise cohesiveness, improve employee performance have been the main problems private enterprises are facing.Company S is facing the same challenge of employee motivation as well as other private enterprises. This research aims at analyzing the reason of low-level employee motivation in company S and bringing forward effective strategies according to the practice situation.Through plenty of research and material analysis, the paper reviewed various factors which led to the problems of employee motivation. The result is that the main causes of low motivation are irrationality of salary management, faultiness of welfare policy, lacking of valid enterprise culture, gray future of employee and descending of corporate competence.This paper uses the method of combination of theory and practice, quantitative and qualitative analysis. We analyzed the problems of company S by demand theory and motivation theory, and brought forward proposals and countermeasures for improving company S's motivation status quo in order to improve the level of employee motivation.
