With the development of globalization and knowledge economy, knowledge has become the strategic resources to create value of enterprises and knowledge is essential element of the enterprises core competitiveness. As knowledges' carrier, knowledge workers play more and more important role in the enterprises. However, in 2008, the global financial crisis outbreaking, more workers face choosing re-employment once again, including those knowledge workers with highly education and skills. In the era of boundaryless career, they also have to replan self-career development by improving their own human capital to accelerate career success. Therefore, exploring the relationships between human capital and career success of knowledge workers is particularly necessary.This paper develops human capital scale through literature revies and 11 experts interviews. And using questionnaire survey and statistics analysis about knowledge workers in Dalian, Wuhan and other places, final human capital scale is finalized. Then reselecting knowledge workers in Liaoning province, Shanghai and so on as samples for formal investigation. This paper tries to explore the relationships between human capital and career success of knonledge workers through data analysis of 229 valid questionnaires. Besides, the effect on career success of demographic is investigated. Major results can be concluded as follows:1. To knowledge workers, education, job tenure and job positions of demographic variables have significant different effect on the various dimensions of career success.2. After controlling demographic variables, human capital has positively related to career success, so it could divide into three sub-hypotheses:3. After controlling demographic variables, human capital can predict career success effectively and further dominance analyses indicate that recessive human capital played more important role than dominant human capital when predicting career success.
