Research On The Career Success Influencing Factors Of The It Industry Knowledge Staff

Career success is defined in terms of the positive psychological and work-related outcomes accumulated as a result of one’s work experiences, which is an important aspect of career research. Some of researches abroad have focused on career success criterias and influencing factors, most of that investigated the relationship between several constraints and career success. Due to the restrict of industry, occupation, district and other constraints in career success research, there’s less systematic study of influencing factors on career success, even scarce at home, in this case, this paper in view of the IT industry knowledge workers, on the basis of a large number of progessional literature research, combined with questionaire, With spss19.0software, systematic research the influencing factor of career success, the results are following:①Career success influencing factors includes five, they are dominant human capital, recessive human capital, social capital, career cognitive, organizational factors.②Some demographic variables have effect on career success. Highly educated group than the low-educated group has a strong advantage on the various dimensions of career success, working years longer than the short work experience group have a strong advantage on the internal competitiveness and external competitiveness dimension.③There is a significantly Positive correlation between each dimension of career success influencing factors and each dimension of career success.④After controlling demographic varibles, each dimension of career success influencing factors can predict career success effeetivel.
