| Cross-cultural management made a study on how to manage the enterprises consists of people with different cultural background. With the worldwide spread of economic globalization as well as the rapid development of Multinational Corporation and joint ventures, the Cross-cultural management is highly valued gradually, which has become the new wave and leading edge of the management. That carry out the effective Cross-cultural management is the precondition and foundation. Therefore, it is helpful for the joint ventures to analyze and investigate the manifestation and its reasons of the Cross-cultural l conflict caused in their management, as well as raise the solution correspondingly, which is also the hotspot concerned by joint ventures and academic circles. Currently, bilateral trade and joint venture cooperation between Germany and China is increased; also the culture of German enterprise has typical specificity, the culture conflict of two parties is representative; but the research for this area is not so much, so this paper made a further study of this issue against this background. This paper uses the culture theory through the whole process of study; discuss the related problems with the Cross-cultural management of China-Germany joint ventures by analyzing the case of representative China-Germany joint venture---Siemens Traction Equipment Ltd., Zhuzhou. Firstly, this paper represented the background of the study to Cross-cultural theory, and the researching purpose of this project, as well as analyzed these methods after summing up the studies to this project of scholars home and abroad. Then expounds the Cross-cultural theory pointedly, including the meaning and character of culture, the meaning of culture differences, and culture differences between China and Germany. Finally, this paper elaborates the basis theory of Cross-cultural management. The detail presentation of culture conflict in the Cross-cultural management of the company mentioned above is analyzed by using case description on the basis of the theory; also the reason for the culture conflict is analyzed through the differences between China and Germany on culture, social background and enterprise culture.
